Out Of Town

Today is day number five on the gorgeous Monterey Peninsula, CA., USA - visiting my 91 year old mom, who is doing extremely well for her age - drove her for a short ride around the ocean front on Saturday and the ocean was the most blue I have ever seen - incredibly beautiful.....I'll be posting some new seascapes when I return back to northern CA in early November....Light and Peace to all my friends and supporters! Aneuryism

November 2nd, 2011

Dear friends, on October 8, 2011 I was rushed to ER to find out that I had just suffered a major brain aneurysm...two major hospitals here in Redding, CA and they could not treat me; I was flown down to Sutter General in Sacramento, CA - after almost two weeks in ICU I have been home for one week now and see steady improvement on a daily basis; I was informed after my surgery that I was the 1% that comes through without any permanent brain damage; I am so blessed and a breathing, talking and walking miracle.....I will be having a lot of recovery time even though there was no permanent damage it was as close to death as anyone can come without crossing over - I am extremely tired but full of life and life's sweet energies. I have missed your images and paintings so much and I know I will never catch up but I know in my heart I will be back, in time....missed everyone's incredible work - Joyce Dickens

A time for prayer

A time for prayer

My sincere thoughts and prayers for all of those who have been effected by the devastating tornadoes recently.... I am in northern CA and we actually had a tornado warning in Butte and Glen counties last evening.....four tornadoes were sighted and I believe two of them touched down...they were tiny in comparison to those that have been hitting in other states....but nonetheless, still frightening to those in their paths.....it serves as a reminder as to how very fragile our existence here on earth really is; if you know someone that has been effected in anyway, please reach out to them....a little compassion goes a long way....

Just A Smile

Just A Smile

All it takes is a smile, on most occasions, to open the door to a pleasant transaction. In our busy, often stress ridden day to day grind, we frequently get caught up in the *WHAT* and forget about the *HOW* - The *HOW* becomes so much easier having laid the pathway with a warm smile; it takes very little effort and just that one smile goes a long way.....
