Do not worry, they probably just flew off! According to Wikipedia the young leave the nest after only eight days. I raised a California Towhee once and he couldn't wait to leave!

I wish I could say that they were doing well Lois; but when I checked on them a few days later, they were gone.........either they flew at a very young age, or my neighbor's cat or a hawk got them........thanks for looking and commenting my sweet friend! jd
