Description
Another road trip on October 6, 2019 took me out Hwy 62 heading toward Crater Lake, Oregon. My intent was to find the Wood River which is several miles south of Crater Lake. The grasses had turned their beautiful glowing yellow and the trees were beginning to turn their Autumn colors. It was such a relaxing drive and I took a lot of time to sit and enjoy this pristine location. A well known spot for local fisherman as the river boasts a good quantity of Rainbows and Native Brown Trout. Oregon Fishing requirements have designated this as a "catch and release" area and tackle must be barbless hooks. An awesome effort to preserve and protect our wonderful native fish population.

I love the crystal clear water! And the colors and light and your composition! Gorgeous moment and shot!
Joyce Dickens replied:
Thanks so much Meg; those cold clear waters are the runoff from Crater Lake. :-))

Another wonderful capture of this beautiful landscape. Wish I had known about it when I visited Crater Lake.
Joyce Dickens replied:
Thanks Paul, I just found out about from my sister - sort off the beaten path :-))
