This work began with a photograph that I shot of a small portion of a wooden carving that reminded me of a forest, which for this artwork I had made almost transparent. From there several different layers of gradient color and light. I then added the watercolor feature to it to bring out a little more definition. Still lacking something, in my opinion, I then added a couple layers of Impressionistic textures. Working from photographs is sometimes much more hard than it would seem , but still very rewarding when all is said and done
