Fantastic shot Joyce, but such a tragic situation. especially for the people.. v.f
Joyce Dickens replied:
Yes Debbie, 68 families with no home; it is very sad - I appreciate your compassion and support of my work! :-)

It is amazing how you succeeded to capture the visual beauty of such a terrible situation, dear Joyce. f,v

You took something that was and is a disaster, and somehow captured the "beauty" in it! I am very impressed with this awesome shot. Sorry about the devastation, but one takes a photo of a tornado, and people are in awe. Thus, why not take the negative, and make something positive, even though it may not be a good comparison. I love the shot, but not the thing causing it! fave and vote
Joyce Dickens replied:
Hi Randy, thank you so much for the awesome support of my work; I am pleased that you are enjoying this one - I am happy with the results also - the fire is now 95% contained and all evacuations and road closures have been lifted....thanks for the good thoughts! Joyce

Joyce, this is great capture but I am also saddened by the massive destruction of the forest and lives from the fire. I hope it will be maintained sooner. I heard that some of the fires are caused by people not disposing burnt cigarettes in the proper way. If it is, how sad it is to cause these fires and many people lost their homes. Joyce, hope you be safe and wish you a good weekend my friend
Joyce Dickens replied:
Thank you Lingfai...they are expecting full containment by sunday night, in the meantime it is growing, now there are 68 homes lost - it is far enough away now (thanks to the wind) that we are not in danger....I appreciate your positive thoughts and prayers....there are a lot of people that need them now....thanks my friend! Joyce

Joyce, This is a wonderful shot and a very scary capture all at the same time. I pray that the fires in CA will be over soon..please take care of yourself and stay safe my friend. v/f
Joyce Dickens replied:
Deb, thank you so much sweetheart; we are safe - it is hard however to see so many homes lost - they are finally beginning to open some of the closed roads and allowing some people in to see if they still have a home or not.....have a beautiful weekend my friend! jd

Fantastic shot of a terrible situation! I hope and pray all of the fires in CA will soon come to an end. With so many burning it makes you wonder if there will be any trees left in the state! Be safe Joyce...f/v
Joyce Dickens replied:
Donna, thank you, we are ok - yes, too many fires this year...still waiting to hear the cause of this one.....hopefully they will get it out sooner than they expect! Joyce
Al Bourassa
