Description
Patchwork Cow
There was pink, turquoise, yellow, green, red, purple, and blue
With each rose that she ate, this patchwork cow would Moooo.
She used to be black and white, but one day to her delight
She ate a rose and her colors changed from her head to her toes.
My rose garden was now history, but I forgave the cow because this was such a mystery.
As she stood in what was my beautiful flower bed, the night sky began to turn red, red, red.
The green grass turned bright yellow, and the more roses she ate,
My beautiful cow became very mellow.
She now has a smile, this cow of mine; and I have decided to call her Patches .
I keep her in the garden with the help of a gate with many latches.
I plant new roses for my colorful patchwork cow to keep her colors bright.
During the daytime Patches sleeps, and only eats the roses during the night.

Joyce----I remember this patchwork cow and your charming, charming story----please do a little book---we need it for our two granddaughters---age 2 and 5! :) The cow could be here and there---swinging in a swing---or with water can watering the garden---she could have a bonnet on---etc. You have the story-----it is cute!
Joyce Dickens replied:
Hi Nava, well I did write the children's story but couldn't afford to have it published - maybe someday...as I was trying to save money to move, etc. it seemed out of reach at the time - thank you for your awesome appreciation and support of my work - you are an angel and a dear friend! jd
